Where has the sun gone?

I was planning on cycling to Brighton to buy an ice cream today, but I woke up to lots and lots of rain. Ah well, it just means I'm sewing all day....yeah! I'm going to be making felt and vintage/reclaimed fabric brooches just like these.

plastic fantastic

I am slowly but surely turning every plastic bag in my home into earrings. These are made from fused plastic bags (bread bags, carrier bags etc that can't be recycled in our local area) punched and threaded onto silver earring posts. I love them and hope you do too.

First ever post

I'm Jacqui....hello!

Well this is my very first post on my very new blog. I've never blogged before, but have heard it is quite addictive, so I may well be sharing lots with you.

I have a website www.yumstietree.com which shows some of what I make....lots of things made from felt and recycled plastic all hand made by me...often hand-stitched too. I've started selling my things in shops and on line around the globe, and I'm hoping the number of yumstie tree stockists can grow and grow.
